I am so inspired by perspective and scale. These artists encourage viewers to look at the world from an alternate angle than they are used to.

act of collecting
One of my favorite books, In Flagrante Collecto, is a constant source of inspiration. The book catalogs the random things people collect. I continued the collection search online and I came across a great flickr group called Organized Collection. I wanted to share some of my favorites and possibly inspire future collections.

new obsession: vintage industrial
I love old industrial furniture, especially mixed in with contemporary pieces. These pieces have a sculptural quality, a history, and modern functionality. They would add great character to any space!

egg press
Just got back from our road trip to Minneapolis. Had a great time exploring the beautiful city and spent a lot of time around the lakes and parks. I also had to poke in to Paper Source (one of my favorites since we don't have one in Austin. I picked out a huge stack of cards, but I finally narrowed it down to a two die-cut and letterpress by egg press. I wish I could buy them all!

inspiration: fabric manipulation
I love the idea of transforming bits of fabric into soft sculptures. These etsy finds inspire me to get out the sewing machine and start playing!

new apartment
Jon and I are finally moved in to our new apartment, just in time to leave town for a week. There's still some unpacking to do, but I've managed to get my work space and bedroom in order. I got a new expedit desk from ikea that has some great built in storage space. I'm excited to get the clutter off table so I can actually spread out when cutting paper, drawing, sewing, or blogging! I'm also excited about hanging up the vintage chalkboard graph I got from SagePatch.
